Log Periodic aerial for digital reception

Log periodic aerials are usually good  for UHF digital response, except from areas where the signal power is weak from the transmitter.
The log periodic aerial has factors of various lengths and spacing of the dipoles, which decrease towards the front side of the aerial.
In other words, the aerial has only two or three factors at or near vibrancy.
So what is the meaning of this?
When we compare  a Yagi aerial design for the same number of elements, the log periodic aerial has less Access –or
weaker- but has a more horizantel frequency response. Also,the Log periodic aerial  naturally gives a feed with no any
balance,so, for digital reception you do not need a balun.
We can say that in some situations, as an aerial for digital TV, it can sometimes be a better option to use.
